An orphan, Ātaahua was raised by our dedicated team, Natasha, Chantee, El, Millie, and myself.

She had such a will to live when she came into the yard. Just a 1/2 hour old, John managed to milk the mare, getting the tiniest amount of milk. This was so vital to her survival with its collostrum for her tummy.

She moved into the riding/ pack string Nov 2024 and we are so proud of her.

She is Character: No matter where she is if I shout, “Ataahua I love you,” her ears come up and she turns to gaze at me with her huge melted treacle eyes framed with her white eyelashes (goodbye heart!)

Clever Wee Girl: Ataahua is an invaluable member of our string as she works as a riding horse and a pack horse. I know her Mum would be so very proud of her beautiful daughter.

I am so very proud to call her my horse daughter.
