Porridge moved into the riding string 2024 season and has made her mark on the riders hearts. Gentle, honest and deeply kind she has worked on just about every trail we have. She and Bri Woolnough have a very special relationship and it is so lovely to see. I know that our customers are going to adore this wee horse.

Porridge’s name goes right back to the beginning of our business foundations. A beautiful journalist Cat Pattison and her husband Bob McLachlan (both seasoned adventurers) came to do an article about our business for the Otago Daily.

Cat told me that when she was a little girl she’d had a grey pony called Porridge that she’d adored. She told me some of the expliots they had enjoyed and I made her a promise, if we ever had a wee grey pony, I’d call her Porridge after that wee pony.
